Popular Hola plugin no pure coffee – Telegraaf.nl

The Hola popular extension for Chrome Web browser seems to be dangerous to users. The extension sets include Netflix viewers able to view the American offer of the video service, but through Hola third parties can once again use their connection

.

Hola is called a VPN, a virtual private network. Allows a user to pretend he is in another country, with corresponding IP address. Services that are intended for use in a particular country can thus be accessed from abroad. The user’s connection is simply diverted and the web page is accessed from another country. That point is called the “exit node.

Hola is a free VPN and a bit different from regular providers. Each user is automatically ie also an exit node. That is, third parties can use the internet via the IP-addresses of other users. This can be problematic if the user eg child pornography or download hack attacks carries on the other hand, because it looks like the police or the owner of the exit node is doing all this.

The service does have its standing in terms of this happening, so well informed of these were already aware. The problem is that a subsidiary of Hola, Luminati called access this exit nodes also sells. Hola makes no mention of this. By buying several compounds, for example, a targeted attack against a site to be carried out, the owners of the IP addresses used, appear suspicious.

It is advisable, therefore, to stop using Hola.
