AMERSFOORT – The Amer Foortse Remco Reiding has received a personal letter of thanks and honor of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The researcher has spent the last eighteen years Russian relatives of Soviet soldiers buried at the military cemetery in Leusden know to detect. Putin thanked Reiding for his work.
Of the 865 war victims buried in the field, slightly over half of Russia. The others were born in countries that belonged to the Soviet Union in World War II, but is now independent. Preparation on behalf of the Foundation Russian Field of Honour not only in Russia but also tracked down in Georgia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine dozens of families.
The Foundation engages in the exploration and visit the grave of relatives of war victims buried in Leusden from the former Soviet Union.
