Not every Samsung Galaxy S6 is equal – ZDNet.be

The new Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge are named as the best Android Phones Mart of the moment. Among others, the screen is praised, but the 16 megapixel camera that is available on both devices, is considered excellent.

However, it now appears that the lack of spare parts was not a marketing ploy. It may vary by device namely what a camera sensor is on board. Some phones have a Sony IMX240, while other devices include Samsung’s own ISOCELL sensor. The sensors are available in both the Galaxy S6 and S6 to find the edge.

Across The Verge Samsung confirms the inconsistent use sensor. “The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge making use of camera sensors from different vendors. Like the technology in all our products meet a stringent global quality and performance standards. “

It would, according to Samsung therefore can not make out what your sensor Galaxy S6, your camera is anyway “fantastic”. But is it really? SamMobile has made a comparison between two photos taken with the same equipment, but with the various sensors.

The conclusion is that it really makes little difference which sensor in use. If should be nevertheless made a choice, but who falls in favor of Samsung’s own ISOCELL sensor.

Especially in conditions of low light and HDR on, there is a fairly clear difference detectable where the Samsung sensor gives a more realistic view. What is also remarkable is that IMX240 images produce larger files than ISOCELL images.
