Premium is an enhanced paid version of music streaming service Spotify. The passwords were criminals can find out credit card information from users. Moreover, the risk that unsuspecting users exist also use the stolen passwords for example, email or internet banking. In that case, the perpetrators also come in there.

Another possibility is that they sell the account information to people who want to listen cheap music on someone else’s account.

It is not clear how has come into the hands of the hackers. Spotify denies that its systems have been compromised.
