Microsoft apps also standard on LG and Sony tablets – Telegraaf.nl

Microsoft has electronics manufacturers LG and Sony managed to convince to some of its apps to install for new tablets of the two producers. Previously, the software giant already made such a deal with Samsung

These are among other apps from the Office suite and Skype. These will be supplied as standard with an unreleased LG tablet and the Z4 Xperia Tablet from Sony.

Besides these two companies, Microsoft has signed the same agreement with eighteen smaller, less well-known hardware manufacturers. Below are names like AXDIA, Prestigio and Wortmann.

Earlier this year leaked out that Microsoft apps for companies that have been installed off patent licenses. Microsoft is in fact the owner of a number of patents on techniques which are used in Android devices. Anyone who wants to make an Android tablet or smartphone, you have to pay Microsoft for its use.
