A Russian supply ship which engineers control would have lost on Friday should crash somewhere on Earth. The big question is: where
Progress 59, the ship in question was launched in Kazakhstan to supply the ISS. For some unknown reason responded the unmanned device after its launch, not as it should and it veered off course. It proved impossible for the scientists on the ground to bring it back into orbit.
After the failure there was for the investigators no choice but to wait and see what it would do ship. The Russian space agency Roscosmos said that the Progress likely on Friday again will enter our atmosphere. The current location of the device is known, but the closer to the earth plane is very difficult to predict where it ends up.
Normally, worries the researchers ensure that the ship represents in a sparsely populated area . In our atmosphere burns a large part of the ship, but usually produces debris. Now this is not the case and it will end up guessing where the remains of Progress.
And the crew of ISS? They have a buffer for four months on board, especially for this kind of situation. The next resupply missions are planned for July and August.
