Police sends first regional Amber Alert after missing – NU.nl

Specific target groups, such as police and public transport, from the regions of Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Utrecht and Flevoland connected to the SMS system for missing persons, received a message on the 14-year-old Marilyn.

The girl from Hardinxveld is missing since Friday. She then came home after school no more.

When an Amber Alert normally get all people in the Netherlands who have signed a text message. Now there is not chosen, because the police have evidence that the missing girl in one of these four provinces.

The nationwide Amber Alert is used on average three to four times a year. That happens when the police fears that the life of a missing or abducted child is in immediate danger.

Amber Alert was founded six years ago. More than 2.5 million Dutch are connected and participate in the search for missing children
