Beards are undoubtedly hip, they are also a breeding ground for bacteria. And those are not the most pleasant of bacteria, according to a recent American study.
Microbiologist John Golobic associated with Quest Diagnostics in New Mexico, collected by swab samples of bacteria in some random American beards. The investigation showed that some beards contain the same bacteria than a dirty toilet.
“I’ve met a lot,” witness Golobic. “But I was surprised by these results yet. If the same concentration is found in water pipes, they should be disinfected prior to further use
Still, this is no cause for concern:. As soon as you are now no ill of a hairy chin again. The same bacteria are faced with on everything we touch with our hands, so even on doorknobs, smartphones or toothbrushes.
A shaver is not immediately needed. “Try your hands as much as possible to keep your face away,” reads the resolution of Golobic.
