Google brings smart Calendar’ app for iPhone – Overclockers

Google has its own Calendar app also released for the iPhone. The new app can add information from Gmail to your calendar, such as a location of an appointment or a new contact.

The Calendar app is available for download since Tuesday night in the App Store. The app works alongside existing calendar app from Google. Google reports that in a blog post.

Self Organizing information

The new Calendar app can extract information from Gmail from themselves and organize clever. For example if you get an e-ticket for a booked flight, is automatically created an event in your calendar with which flight it. Also, the calendar app suggestions to make a fixed event when he notices that you often in the same place.

Custom appearance

The appearance of the app is also slightly modified, making it now it is also possible to see for example maps from Google Maps to make an appointment.

No iPad version

The Calendar app existed for Android, which was released last November. The iPhone version will work on the iPad, but that is just a larger version of the iPhone app. A real iPad version is yet to come.
