Nintendo still going to make games for smartphones – NU.nl

That lets you know the business Tuesday morning Dutch time. Nintendo is a global collaboration with DeNA, a Japanese company that specializes in social and mobile games.

The two companies are specifically developed for mobile devices, taking advantage of Nintendo’s intellectual property, as probably the Super Mario series.

It is only completely new games, no passages of games that have been previously developed specifically for the Wii or 3DS. Every Nintendo series could in principle have a smartphone game.



Larger Audience

Nintendo says it expects this new market can bring more consumers into contact with his game series. The company took a long time off the boat when it was asked by investors also games for smartphones to develop.

Subscription Service

When the first games to be launched exactly, is not clear. Nintendo said they do not expect any financial impact of the cooperation in this fiscal year, which runs until April 2016.

In the 2015 autumn is already a new membership service launched by Nintendo and Dena, available on both smartphones Nintendo consoles and PCs.

It is unclear what this service will mean exactly, but it counts as the successor of Club Nintendo, the current members service that Nintendo customers points can be collected by the company’s products to buy.
