Google provides Chrome OS Google Now and Material Design – Techzine

Google has released a new beta release of Chrome OS operating system In this new version two important changes have been made, namely the addition of Google Now and customizing the appearance of the operating system to Material Design.

Google has decided to withdraw its design language through to Chrome OS, the operating system will become more integral to Google’s other products. Additionally, the personal assistant Google Now now part of Chrome OS. Google Now was some time available in Android and the Chrome browser.

As part of this new beta is also a new start screen. Where Google previously worked with a kind start menu is now the “Google Chrome Launcher 2.0″ . This is a large rectangular surface with a search bar below and the most used apps. There is also a button to show all apps. Among the apps integration to find with Google Now, there are displayed all Google Now cards.

Finally, the new version also with password support for ZIP files and the zone of Chrome OS automatically updated when the user changes the time zone.
