Video calling ‘possible’ in Facebook Messenger – Telegraaf.nl

IM apps go critics increasingly similar. With almost all the services you same, but something like video calling is not yet supported by all apps. Since Monday that may with Facebook Messenger. For Dutch there is a small “but” we do not belong to the countries that can directly use the videocall capability

.

To make video calls in Facebook Messenger, you do not get out of strange antics. In the chat window you get next to the phone icon in the upper right corner soon a small video camera. If you click on the camera, you agree to video calling. To call others, no matter if they use the same device. Anyone with an Android tablet to a contact with an iPhone call and people with an iPad can without any problems someone video calls with an Android smartphone.

Facebook, which last year WhatsApp still took over, the last time working to improve its Messenger app. So it was in some countries to “donate” money to a contact and came the ability to install plugins. Dutch need to wait for the video calling. For now it is only available in a select number of countries, including the US, the UK, Ireland, Belgium and Poland.

Facebook Messenger is free to download in the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
