Google puts Google Person Finder and Facebook’s Safety Check for help with searching in Nepal. In this way, both organizations are trying to do our bit to help victims and aid workers.
Person Finder Google is an open system in which caregivers can post information about people they have encountered in the area of a disaster. Moreover, organizations can make their systems with information about victims, easily associate with this service from Google. Friends and acquaintances can consult Person Finder to see if there is information regarding the person they seek. Google has indicated to remove the information once the crisis is over.
Facebook has launched the Safety Check. Anyone who has been in an affected area, and his or visit her Facebook page, will see a button that that person can show that he / she is safe. Automatically that message then placed on the timeline of everyone on Facebook is friends with this person
