The hackers exploited a vulnerability in the shop to see the usernames and passwords to gain possession. The passwords were admittedly a security, but that proved to be so weak that the criminals could crack easily.
Mapp says it has increased its security means. All affected customers have received an email stating that they must change their password. When customers use the password for other sites, it is important to also change it there.
