Chinese construction workers find 43 dinosaur eggs – NU.nl

This was reported by People’s Daily Online on Monday.

Nineteen of the eggs, each ten to twelve inches in diameter, were still intact.

Construction workers found the nest along a main road in Heyuan City. Passers decided to form a human deposition to protect the archaeological site.

The red sandstone in which the fossils were found, has helped that they have been so well preserved, reports the news.

One of the onlookers even tried to steal two eggs, but was thereby stopped and fled empty handed. The eggs are placed in the local dinosaur museum, where they are examined by the experts.
