Saturday, 13. December 2014 – 11:12 Update: 14-12-2014 11:41
According to the Royal Dutch Society for Meteorology and Astronomy (KNVWS) this weekend evening to see a star rain. The stars rain starts around 20.00 and will last all night.
The stars rain will continue in the night from Sunday to Monday, only KNMI predicts more clouds which the heavenly sight earthlings will deprive rain. Saturday night was in many places local weather is clear and one could see all the stars rain
These so-called stars rain has really nothing to do with shooting stars. It involves pieces of meteor debris associated with the Geminids meteor swarm. With luck, there are seen to forty meteors per hour.
