Annual Review Facebook is wrong – Telegraaf.nl

The annual video that Facebook automatically compiles based on photos that users on social media posts, does not always seem to fall on fertile ground. The social media giant receives many thumbs down. Unintentionally, people will be reminded of painful events in their lives

.

The American Eric Meyer was downright shocked when he’s photo his recently deceased daughter to cancer on the home screen of his “Year in Review” saw being surrounded by animations of partygoers. Facebook had standard personalized text “Eric, and saw your year out!”.

Other Facebook users are not enough to talk about this “spontaneous gesture” of Facebook. The social media giant forget that not everyone was a bang in 2014 year. Another Facebook user saw a picture back of his now ex-wife with her new lover she had met during the holidays.

Facebook has not sufficiently realized that the algorithm that makes the statement, ignores changes conditions.

In several comments it sounds reproach back that the developers of these Facebook application realize enough that a year can go wrong. “The average age of a Facebook employee is 31 years,” says a complainant. And 20-year-olds do not realize that life is finite. Especially in Silicon Valley where the trees to the sky seem to grow, walk many blinkered
