Google is ready to test its first self-propelled vehicle on a circuit. The first test in a city will follow later in 2015, the company has announced.
“We’ll make this holiday test drives on our test track and we hope to come by next year on the road in Northern California ‘,, says the team working on the project in a post on Google + network.
After years of preparations, Google managed to put together a fully functional prototype of the computer-controlled car. Google said Monday no further technical details. The message was illustrated with a photograph of a white vehicle with rounded corners.
In May, Google already indicated that the car steering wheel, no gas and has no brakes. “Our software and receptors do all the work,” said project manager Chris Urmson. The maximum speed of Google would be 40 kilometers per hour hours.
