Netherlands is the first country in the world where Google provides this functionality at a national level. Maps shows since 2010 in the Netherlands information on buses, trains, trams and metros, but based on fixed schedules and does not account for any resulting disruptions. From now displays the Maps app does live delays or cancellations.
Google promises nationwide coverage for this date travel information and all carriers to participate according to the company. The company also works with 9292 and OpenOV, which in turn information by getting local public transport.
The information will also be included in Google Now cards and is thus also visible in the notifications which gives the smart assistant of the company.
