LastPass Password Service Hacked – Telegraaf.nl

Password storage service LastPass users has sent a warning to attackers had access the user’s data. According to the service are not actual passwords captured, but customer data such as email addresses

With LastPass users can their passwords online store in one place. This makes it possible to use a unique password to cracking and difficult for each service, because they can easily be searched for again. This function makes it a tempting target for hackers.

LastPass is a victim, though the booty according to the company small. Among other things, user names and email addresses were stolen, but the passwords themselves are safe. These are according to LastPass protected well enough that they can not be determined. However, the company recommends users to change the master password for their LastPass profile.

Finally LastPass promises extra security when logged in from a device or Internet connection that is not yet known to the company.
