Some members of the management of Microsoft leave the company as part of a downsizing operation. The most famous name among those leaving is that of Stephen Elop, former CEO of the Finnish Nokia, which Microsoft last year the mobile branch bought up to $ 7 billion.

“We are our development efforts and skills and in particular, our three core goals aligned to bringing to reinforce our strategy, “said Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft in an email sent to Microsoft employees. “This change will allow us to provide better products and services that keep our customers at a faster pace.” According to Elop Nadella are friendly and he agreed that now was the best time for him to withdraw from Microsoft.

Elop went along to Microsoft after the acquisition and led the Devices division within the company. That section is now merged with the group that deals with operating under the direction of Terry Myerson. The latter will head the new entity, the “Windows and Devices Group”.

Together with Stephen Elop also leave managers Kirill Tartarinov, Eric Rudder and Mark Penn, the American company. The reorganization comes ahead of the launch of Windows 10, the new operating system that Microsoft releases on July 29.
