Quarrel between Apple and Monster – Telegraaf.nl

Apple has the agreement between the two companies already dissolved on May 5, reports The Wall Street Journal. A company spokesman pointed across the newspaper to the lawsuit that Monster has filed and that a collaboration would not be in the interests of both companies.

Monster was the first hardware partner of Beats and produced long time Beats by Dr. Dre headsets. The company also had the rights to this line, but it went right over to HTC Beats once got hold of the company to 51 percent. For this was in fact included a special clause in the contract between Monster and Beats. Monster found this state of affairs, not correct and Beats dragged to court, even before Apple took over the company.

Now that the license has been revoked, Monster has to change the packaging of many of its products since then in many cases the “Made for iPhone’ logo on it. The company mainly makes private label headphones and cables. The products will not be sold in Apple stores.
