ING makes mobile payments in shops possible – Portable Gear

June 13, 2015 – ING started last week with the final test phase under a group of employees. They make the first experience with the Mobile Pay app that enables contactless payment before it is rolled out nationwide. ING makes mobile payment possible for a wide selection of different brands of smartphones. ING customers who already use the Mobile Banking App and have a suitable Android smartphone later this summer to direct mobile payment by downloading the new ING Mobile Pay app and activate their mobile PIN.

Contactloos pay by mobile is possible to over 80,000 terminals in shops, at stations and in company restaurants. ING clients can gain some experience with contactless payment via the Debit Card. More than 6.5 million ING Debit cards are now suitable. Until May, ING customers for more than 13 million times paid this way. For purchases up to € 25, – can be paid either with or without PIN. At higher amounts, always requires a PIN. The maximum amount that succession without a PIN can be paid is € 50, -.

ING launched earlier this year a fingerprint recognition in the Mobile Banking App and also presented an app for the smart watch

The fingerprint recognition often fails. Especially construction workers who work with cement or stone, lose their fingerprints due to wear.
