LG launches WebOS 3 for smart TVs in 2016 – Personal Computer Magazine

LG is planning its smart TVs to rest from 2016 with WebOS 3. The operating system will be shown in January at the Consumer Electronics Show.

WebOS 3 to make smart TVs smarter, including by having them work together with your smartphone. Thus, it is intended that you later can also smartphone apps to control your television. LG calls this feature “Magic Mobile Connection” and you need to install the LG GTV Plus app for it. Also new is Magic Zoom, which allows you to zoom in on the image without loss of quality.

The remote control will also be adapted with extra buttons, including to send along with additional set-top boxes. In addition, you two programs run side by side with Multi-view, which is fixed comes into its own on a big screen.



Programming

WebOS 3 is also support for original programming. Which content is delivered by companies like Bloomberg and BuzzFeed. The question in such cases is always whether this also applies to other countries. The offer may differ from country to country.

3 WebOS can analyze your viewing habits and recommend programs based thereon, similar to Netflix. Finally, there is a built-in music app to use even when turned off the screen.



2016

LG’s smart TVs that come out in 2016, standard equip with WebOS 3 . Or existing TVs get an upgrade, it is not yet clear.
