In recent months Google Glass has often been in the news again. For example, the Glass is used as a tool during cardiac surgery and came news emerged that a patent is pending for a new design. The rumor mill also revealed that Google an “Enterprise Edition” of the Glass wants to use in the business market.
The Google Glass Enterprise Edition would include a faster processor, a bigger prism and improved battery life. The new device has recently been spotted on the site of the FCC. The new Glass looks pretty much like the first edition Explorer, with some adjustments. The headset now has a right hinge, allowing the Glass can be folded. A handy feature not present at the first Glass. We also see a larger prism display and a lamp on the front which illuminates when the camera is in use. The power button has been moved to the back of the device.
Rumors say that Google Glass Enterprise Edition with an Intel Atom processor is delivered, improved heat dissipation, improved battery life and wireless connectivity. It is likely that the Glass will only be delivered through the Glass for Work program, which Google partners can install their own software before it is sold. It is very likely that the new Glass will not be sold directly to consumers.
The images shown come from the site of the FCC. The new Glass has not been officially announced by Google.
