This was announced on the VSNU and the part of information group relx (formerly Reed Elsevier) Thursday, without going into financial details.
Through the deal, whose details are still being worked out, scientists keep access the Elsevier journals.
In addition, in 2018 30 percent of the articles from the journals of Dutch authors through the ‘open access’ principle are available. Open access means that the results of publicly funded research are publicly accessible online
