Data 3.3 million Hello Kitty fans leaked – NU.nl

According to research by security expert Christopher Vickery, who has shown proof of CSO Online . Both the host of the website, as Hello Kitty owner Sanrio are already informed about the poor security.

Include the full names, dates of birth, country of origin, email addresses and encrypted passwords of the fans are put online. However, the encryption of passwords is not very strong, and could in principle be decrypted by hackers.

The earliest records date from late November. In addition sanriotown.com also prove other official Hello Kitty sites are only protected, including hellokitty.com, mymelody.com and various regional versions of those sites.

V-Tech
