New Google Glass for business market is foldable – Yahoo! News

The US keuringsinstitantie FCC has some pictures of the new Google Glass published. The glasses, which adds to the real world of digital information, is foldable and is only worn over one ear.

Google’s new augmented reality glasses have not yet officially announced, but it’s been longer clear that the Internet giant is working on a new variant of the smart glasses. Glass first came out in 2013.

People with the glasses can receive, among other messages, photos and videos, and navigate. The images are projected into the prism, making it seem as if the information in the ‘real world’ floats.

The FCC approved the glasses this summer all right, but had to keep the photos still secret until six months after the inspection. That deadline has now expired, 9to5Google discovered.

Business market
would go to the Enterprise Edition, the business version of Glass. The glasses were a few years ago mainly used by industries during the introduction of the first version of Glass.

The glasses are mainly used by people who want to have their hands free, such as engineers and surgeons. In the Netherlands, among others, Eneco has launched a trial of Glass, provide engineers during their work of relevant information.

A light for privacy
The power button of the new Glass is at the back and when the camera is turned on, there is now lit a light. The camera was one of the areas where most of the criticism came because the critics had breached the privacy. By the light bystanders know when the camera is turned on or not.

Furthermore, the new waterproof Glass, the glasses supports 5GHz Wi-Fi networks and the chip is a lot more powerful. The housing would spread the heat from the chip better.

The load will now be managed via a magnetic charger instead of a cable with a micro USB plug. It is unclear whether the battery life of the Glass is improved: the first edition of Glass kept it off barely a day. Google will reportedly an external battery for Glass that will not augurs well.
