Google’s messaging and videocall apps Allo and Duo released this summer – NU.nl

In addition to that as with any messaging app with chatted can, Allo also works closely with Google Assistant, the new digital assistant of the company.

Allo proposals include self for answers when a question is asked by the interviewer. The function also works with photos, thanks to image recognition technology.

The app learns from the answers given by the user, so there is no standard answers are given, but responses based on previous responses from the user .

The digital assistant from Google can be called at any time within Allo, by ‘@google’ typing. So questions can be put to Assistant, for example, to buy a movie ticket or play a game.

Further messages, including emoji be resized using a slider.



Duo

in addition, Google showed Duo, an app for video phone calls. Striking is a feature that Google ‘knock knock’ calls, which are shown video of the caller before been recorded.

So the person who called is thus first have a look who is calling exactly and where person boards. Duo supports end-to-endversleuteling, a type of encryption which competitor WhatsApp also already available.

Both apps come out in the summer, for both Android and iOS
