Nvidia announced the GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070 – Eurogamer.nl

Technology company Nvidia Unveils GeForce GTX 1080 and 1070 graphics cards.

Compared to the GTX 980 includes the GeForce GTX 1080 some adjustments. For example, the graphical processing unit (GPU) is no longer on the basis of the Maxwell architecture created, but on the newer Pascal architecture. In addition, the 1080 GTX has 8 GB GDDR5X memory, 4GB more than its predecessor.

Nvidia also announced the GeForce GTX 1070. The manufacturer has not yet revealed all the details about these cheaper card. It is already known that the card has 8 GB of GDDR5 memory, in contrast to the GDDR5X memory of the 1080 GTX.
