“Pharmaceutical companies pay doctors through detour” – NU.nl

Some of the payments is via an intermediate station in the form of commercial, sponsored continuing education agencies. According to research from De Volkskrant .

Those agencies organize annually dozens of courses where doctors hold paid lectures to their colleagues. Doctors can therefore sometimes earn tens of thousands of euros.
