It was announced at the presentation of the quarterly figures of game publisher Take-Two.
GTA 5 appeared on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation in September 2013 3 and was the following year launched on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is still in the monthly top 10 sales charts in most countries. In May 2015 Take-Two made known that the game had been sold almost 52 million times.
Next GTA 5 and its online mode yielded releases as NBA 2K16 , WWE 2K16 and Borderlands series also money.
That was not enough to ensure profits at Take -Two. The company turned a net loss of 42.4 million dollars on revenue of 531 million dollars. Sales were 22 percent lower than a year earlier.

According to Take-Two is an upward trend in the sales of downloadable content and virtual money for games that are already sold to consumers. This category grew in the quarter by 45 percent compared to last year.
Finally, Take-Two announced that 80 per cent of sales on consoles is still physical. PC, however, 90 percent of all games sold digitally, thanks to the success of Steam
