Samsung brings Exynos 7 Octa 7870 SoC for midrange smartphones – Personal Computer Magazine

Samsung launched this year with the production of the Exynos 7 Octa 7870 processor for midrange smartphones. The energy-efficient chips have so far only been used for high-end devices like the Samsung Galaxy S6.

The company is building the chips on the hand 14-nanometer (nm) FinFET technology, which makes them 30 percent more energy efficient than other SoCs. The Exynos 7 Octa 7870 eight 1.6GHz Cortex-A53 cores and can download speeds of up to 300Mbps on. Must also play fluent 1080p videos at 60fps and there is support for two 16 MP cameras.



Second half 2016

Samsung does not say exactly which budget-friendly smartphones can expect the chip. According to reports, get a new version of the Samsung Galaxy J7 him under the hood anyway.
