Phone manufacturer Oppo at the Mobile World Congress announced new smartphone, instead it focuses on two new technologies that are of interest to any smartphone user. Oppo says that the two technologies are used for the next flagship, though no further details are available on a relesedatum or announcement.
The first technology where Oppo has worked on is called SuperVOOC, a special rapid charger technology that lets you charge your smartphone in just 15 minutes from 0 to 100 percent. In addition, it introduced the Smart Sensor, the optical image stabilizer is not reflected in the lens of the camera module, but directly in the sensor. They are on paper two very interesting technologies, although it always remains to be seen how well it works in practice.
At the Mobile World Congress the SuperVOOC technology was shown in a demo in which a phone only went a few minutes from 5 percent to 100 percent. The company claims to have 18 patents in the hands of these low-voltage pulse-charge technology and uses a special 2500mAh battery for safe experience. The technology works in conjunction with micro-USB and UBC connections. It is still unclear whether Oppo also has plans to sell the technology to other manufacturers.
The Smart Sensor Oppo should bring optical image stabilization in a unique way. The technology is in fact incorporated in the sensor and this new small sensor is provided with a voltage-driven micro-electro-mechanical system that can absorb shocks. Movements can be detected on three axes and the stabilization would be active after 15 milliseconds. Smartphones with lens stabilization doing there at least 50 milliseconds, according to Oppo over.
In the past Oppo often come up with some innovative solutions, as introduced a reversing camera for the Oppo N1 and N3. When the Super VOOC and SmartSensor be applied at time of writing is still unclear
