WhatsApp will soon get an update, which can fit more people in a group. Currently, the limit is still 100 participants, but after the update be there 256.
Probably you will find 100 people in one group already a lot, let alone 256. The update is therefore mainly interesting for companies who use WhatsApp for example, to simultaneously reach many people.
Test
the update should now be installed manually because the function is still being tested. First is the Android version of WhatsApp’s turn. When everyone gets the update is not yet clear.
