Dutchman getting longer online – Telegraaf.nl

We are each day more and more online . Dutch surfed last year an average of two hours a day on the Internet, an increase of 34 percent from 2011, according to the annual survey Media Standard Survey

.

However, there are major differences between age groups. Young people between 13 and 17 years, more than three hours a day online, over 65 hours on average.

To Internet people use the laptop and the smartphone most often, followed by tablet and desktop computer. Also, the use of Internet via game console and media center on the rise, especially among young people.

The consumption of digital magazines is on the rise. Also, many newspapers are read via tablet or smartphone. They are especially highly educated people who read digitally.

Radio is mainly listened to in the car and through the stereo, but there is a slight increase in the number of people listening via mobile phone or tablet.
