Vodafone: “Super Cookies only for payments – Telegraaf.nl

AMSTERDAM –

Telecom Provider Vodafone Netherlands used in controversial super cookies, message NRC Handelsblad according to the US privacy organization Access Now. According to Vodafone, however, it is merely a piggybacked code which payments may be processed.

Super Cookies are files that pass app- and surfing behavior and are controversial because they are virtually impossible to remove. After turmoil in the United States because they are no longer used, but the use shifted to other countries, including the Netherlands.
