According to Tweakers it seemed initially that Ziggo struggling with DNS problems. Ziggo indeed confirms that the cyber attack is focused on the DNS servers. These servers will make sure that typed addresses are converted to IP addresses. If those servers falter, faltering Internet. In a DDoS attack servers are bombarded a lot of requests to display a page so that the site becomes overloaded
