Qualcomm has formally launch the new Qualcomm 820 Snapdragon processor announced during a presentation at the SIGGRAPH event. The chip is more powerful as its predecessor, the new chip is in fact forty percent stronger while the chip consumes forty percent less energy.

Many details are not yet known about the new chipset, but it is announced that the new chip from Qualcomm 40 percent will be more powerful, and also another 40 percent more energy efficient than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 810.

The chipset from Qualcomm will work with the Adreno 530 GPU. Qualcomm will not use ARM cores for the Snapdragon 820. The chip has support for filming in 4K with 60 FPS. This image processor supports up to two cameras on the back and one in front of up to 25 megapixel
