Smartphoneverkopen Samsung experience the largest decline ever – NU.nl

The quarter started well for Samsung, reports research firm Gartner Thursday. But due to the problems with the Note 7 decreased sales eventually by 14.6% to 71,7 million smartphones, after the manufacturer are top-class device had to withdraw due to ongoing problems.

The market share of Huawei grew from 7.7 percent to 8.7 percent, while the share of Oppo from 3.4 percent to 6.7 percent increased.

Distribution smartphone market

Gartner figures also released about the distribution of the different operating systems on the smartphone market. This is the third quarter of 2016.

Android has now 87,8 per cent of the market in hands. A year earlier this was still 84,7 percent. Apple is also here on the second place, and compared to the previous year must be submitted. The share fell from 13 percent to 11.5 percent.

Also Windows has quite returned. The stock was last year, at 1.7 percent, and this year dropped to 0.4 percent. The market share of Blackberry is 0.1 percent. That was a year earlier 0.3 percent.
