Black Friday in the Netherlands: lots of deals, little discount – DutchCowboys

We do in the Netherlands not at all on Thanksgiving, but that is not to say that the retailers are not trying to reap pick up from the shopping spree that America at this moment takes on Black Friday, the day on which shops hefty discounts to give to people to lure. Next Black Friday is in the U.S. there also Cyber Monday, where Amazon and the rest grand extract with high discounts, but because all of us are not so specific, it means mainly that’s as good as every shop this entire weekend discounts start to give.

Doorbusters

Not only on the big sites you can now a lot of discounts find, brands try to get you to their agents and to convince you to Logitech, Sonos, Apple or Microsoft to buy with varying degrees of advantage. That is indeed the big difference with the sometimes seriously amazing Black Friday discounts that you in the States can get: Dutch offers are often nothing more than the “standard” discount that is offered and sometimes not even a real discount. the Doorbusters, such as the discounts are called retailers in the U.S. offer to ensure that people on the street go to sleep to be first inside, you will not encounter.

The timing’s right, of course: not only is there also in the Netherlands more and more bought in the run-up to Sinterklaas and Christmas, which also happens more and more online, says retail researcher GfK. 64 percent of Dutch people are buying gifts for Sint or Christmas, compared with 61 percent last year and 58 percent in 2014. The percentage of online purchases has increased from 68 percent to 72 percent, so the real shops have it harder.

Therefore, it is precisely at times like these, the effort to go to a physical store to go to, because they would still get serious discounts to the people within to get. If you are already a little bit in the neighborhood want to come out of the American feeling is that in any case is your only option, because I would go there despite the screaming e-mails and ads is not really sheet. Time to go!
