LG G5 will receive Android 7.0 Nougat-update – TechTastic

LG has today announced that it has begun the roll out of the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the LG G5. The update is first in South Korea released and will be in the coming weeks to Europe. The LG G5 is after the LG Q20 the second smartphone from the company with Android 7.0 Nougat.

According to LG, the update is currently over-the-air to users in South Korea. An exact release date for Europe, the company has not yet announced, but these users will automatically and a notification is received when the Nougat update is available. "LG G5-owners in South Korea will be the first the upgrade is received, followed by customers in the United States, Asia and other markets in subsequent weeks," according to LG.

LG is the first company after Google with a Android 7.0 Nougat-update for a smartphone to date, running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The update brings a number of new features and the interface is at the same time taken care of to make navigating to simplify on the LG G5.

Android 7.0 Nougat brings, by default, in each case, a number of welcome improvements, including a long anticipated splitscreenmodus, in which you place two apps next to or above each other can view. Successor comes in 2017

The LG G5 was earlier this year in the Netherlands. The unit is equipped with a 5.3-inch lcd screen and has a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Under the hood we find the Snapdragon 820-soc in combination with 4GB of lpddr4 memory. The unique feature of the G5 is the modular housing, however, appear to be consumers there is less interest in. The expectation is that the system is in 2017 with the LG G6 again will be deleted.
