ABU DHABI – After his spin in the first corner after the start of the Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi seemed to be for Max Verstappen his race prompt over. But after a nice catching up and a n-stop strategy, and ended the Dutchman of Red Bull Racing on a razendknappe fourth place.
looking back, he called it a ” very good race, after he had recovered from the spin. Verstappen started from the sixth position, but hit Nico Hlkenberg in the exit of the first bend. Verstappen spun off, and had from the last road. N-stop-strategy, which he changed from the supersoft to softbanden, made sure he was in the lead on the third place drove.
Verstappen was eventually overtaken by Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel, who is currently on ultrasoftbanden reed, and consolidated after the fourth place. “I am very happy to be from the last place after which spin myself back to the fight with a stop, it was the best that we could do,” he said.
“It is quite normal that people who have two stops to make know that they have better tyres and so they can you will normally have more attacks. But I think it’s a very good race.”
Verstappen called his contact with Hlkenberg at the start, a racing incident. “I think Nico is a very good start, I also think that he had not expected that I half-next to him would drive it”, he added. “So he sent in and I had nowhere to go.”
