Recordastronaut Scott Kelly swings down at NASA – NU.nl

The 52-year-old Kelly began his career in 1996 at NASA and has an American record to his name by spending the most time in space.

“The year in space a profound challenge to everyone who was involved. It gave me a unique perspective and a lot of time to think about what my next step will be in our onward journey to advance the possibilities in space and on earth, “says Kelly in a comment.

Together with his Russian counterpart Mikhail Kornienko Kelly earlier this month, landed safely on earth, after he had remained for nearly a year in the International Space Station. That’s the longest stay at the station ever. Other astronauts, including André Kuipers remained there about six months
