The emergency services in Amersfoort have had their hands full all night to a large fire. Extinguishing is still on.
The fire started late last night in a former school in the Tropics, north of downtown. It attracted clouds of smoke over the city.
Windows and doors closed
Neighbours windows and door had closed hold. The fire department has made measurements to see if there were elevated levels of carbon monoxide, but that was not the case.
Around 04:00 the Safety reported that the fires were still busy. Firemen all night had to be repaid to extinguish. There is still talk of big smoke.
