The eye-catcher of iOS 8.4 is obviously the Music app with the brand new Apple streaming service Music. But also for book lovers, the software update a few interesting tidbits along with it.
So sit audiobooks from iOS 8.4 no longer in the (new) Music app but in iBooks, along with all your ‘printed’ literature. The purchase and playback audio books now happens from iBooks.
Like Podcast iBooks app provides a convenient sleep timer for those in bed like listening to audio books. This sets the number of minutes you want to listen to a work, before you doze off to sleep. You can also set your current chapter still just wants to ‘read’. Also new: books with the label ‘Made for iBooks are now compatible with both the iPad and the iPhone
Furthermore, iOS 8.4 includes mainly bug fixes for known issues.. Thus, the previous operating system had trouble with certain GPS and accessories were removed Apple Watch apps (after an update on the iPhone) sometimes automatically installed.
