“The experiments are part of the science program Lowlands Science, which this year for the first time is part of the festival, ‘says the NFI.
The researchers want to gain more insight into transmission of traces of DNA. For example in situations where perpetrators hold their victims, drag or tie. These spores are visible to the naked eye often not visible, but for example, may imply a DNA profile of the perpetrator and thus a breakthrough in a criminal investigation.

It is for the researchers of the NFI useful to gain more insight into where offenders when performing the above operations leave their mark. These are to find the most promising places to sample and DNA material of the culprit.
Offender drags the victim
The Lowlands visitors can take part in the NFI Crime Lab in various experiments . In one of the experiments they are asked to drag each other within a short time, over a certain distance and in a different experiment, the application whether they want to tie up two objects to each other. Using a lamp forensic investigators then see where the tracks are located and photographed them the tracks.
