Office 2016 for Mac OS released – Personal Computer Magazine

Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac OS released. The new versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote are available to anyone on OS X with an Office 365 subscription.

This was reported by Microsoft on its own blog.

Office 2016 was until recently still in the beta phase, but is now officially available. The previous version had already use it for free as a preview release.



Appearance

The new Office resembles in appearance very similar to that of Windows, with large menu structures are shown minimalist. However, the apps are adapted for the Mac. For example, full screen support, and the apps can run fine on retina displays.

Office 365

It is only possible to download the Office suite when you have to Office 365. Whoever does not have a subscription, will have to wait. In September, the final version that you can download without subscription programs.

2011

An update for Office for Mac OS was not a luxury. The last time it was featured office was renewed in 2011.
