Snapchat announces a new gadget, the Spectacles. It comes to a pair of sunglasses with integrated camera. The device can be round videos of ten seconds to create that directly uploads to Snapchat via Bluetooth or Wi-fi.
In the top corners are cameras. With one press of a button, the user can get a recording of ten seconds. According to Snapchat, the users would thus no longer a ‘wall’ in front of their face, such as with smartphones. According to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel makes the glasses that the users to their memories by their own eyes can see. The glasses would be ‘liberating’ to work. Rectangular videos would be a remnant of the printing of pictures on paper, according to Spiegel.
Snapchat also has its company name changed from Snap, Inc. The name would be more appropriate now, it makes more than just Snapchat. The app retains the name Snapchat.
