Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update – Relatively small update was much needed – Tweakers

The Anniversary Update, Windows 10 Mobile, in the state in which Microsoft immediately had to release. It works more stable and finer than at the release of the Lumia’s at the end of last year, when the software is still a lot of bugs it contained. The difference in the Lumia 950 fell really have to be on during the retest of this unit with the update.

The functional improvements are smaller, but especially the work of the Action Centre. Both the toggles if the notifications look better and it works finer than in the first iteration of the mobile version of Windows 10.

The Anniversary Update is released for Lumia 1520, 950, 950 XL, 930, 830, 730, 735, 635, 640, 640 XL, 532, 535, 540, 430, and 435, in addition to a handful of phones from other manufacturers, including the HP Elite X3 is the most famous. That last device will get the update support for the finger print scanner, that with the previous version of software simply did not function. As already half a year is known, have not all Lumia’s received an update. Especially the older models, like the Lumia 520 and 630, but also the 925 and 1020, remain stuck at Windows Phone 8.1.

The Anniversary Update shows that Microsoft, despite all the messages that are the opposite claim, still working on the mobile version of Windows. Just like the competitors iOS and Android this year it is no shocking big update, but one that is vital and more than worth the effort.
